I Elizabeth Higginbotham of the County of Amherst and State of Virginia, do hereby make, publish and declare this my last will and testament. I desire that my just debts and funeral expenses shall be first paid, and I give and bequest all the residue of my estate both real and personal to my niece Rose E. Tucker in trust until she shall marry or attain the age of twenty one years. I constitute and appoint John W. Martin as the executor of this my will, and also as trustee for my above mentioned niece Rose E. Tucker.
Given under my hand and seal this 15th day of August 1884.

At ???? of monthly sessions begun and held for the County of Amherst on the 20th day of October 1884.
A paper purporting to be the last will and testament of Elizabeth Higginbotham was this day produced in Court by John W. Martin the executor named therein and having been found by the oaths William Sandidge and Davis McDaniel the subscribing witnesses thereto together with B. F. Willman his security who justified as to his sufficiency entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $400 four hundred dollars conditioned as the law directs, which is ordered to be recorded, certificate is granted said John W. Martin for obtaining probate of said will in due form. Appraisers B. B. Campbell, Enoch Carpenter and M. B. Hudson.
