I Mary F. Higginbotham, in the County of Amherst, State of Virginia, of the age of 85 years of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in the manner following: That is to say I give and bequeath all of my personal property to Anna J. Hill to be divided among her children at her death.

I do hereby nominate and appoint Wm. Ward Hill to be executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. And I do hereby direct that my said executor shall give sufficient security as such.

In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 18th of June A. D. 1913.

The within instrument consisting of one sheet was at the date thereof declared to us by the said Mary F. Higginbotham, the testator therein mentioned to be her last will and testament and at the same time acknowledged to us and each of us that she had signed with her mark and sealed the same and we therefore at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other signed our names thereto as attesting witnesses.

In the clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of the County of Amherst, on the 19th day of July, 1916.

A paper writing, bearing date on the 18th of June A. D. 1913, purporting to be the last will and testament of Mary F. Higginbotham, deceased, was this day produced before me in said office and offered for probate and being duly proved by the oaths of Ora. A. Sutton (who was Ora A. Hill) and J. Bigbie Davis two subscribing witnesses thereto is admitted to probate and ordered to be recorded as the true last will and testament of the said Mary F. Higginbotham, deceased.
