In the name of God amen, I Sarah E. Higginbotham of the County of Amherst and State of Virginia, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made at any time.

1st. I direct that all just debts including funeral expenses, and costs of administration be paid by my executors.

2nd. I will, direct and bequeath all residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to my children who may survive me or their legal heirs equally share and share alike.

3rd. I appoint my daughter Mary L. Myers, who was Mary L. Higginbotham, and my son Samuel B. Higginbotham, both of the County of Amherst and State of Virginia Executors of this my last will and testament, and having full faith in their integrity, I direct that they be not required to give bond with security.

In witness whereof I have signed and sealed and published declared this instrument as my last will and testament at the Fork of Buffalo in the County of Amherst and State of Virginia this 30th day of December 1898.

The said Sarah E. Higginbotham at said Fork of Buffalo in the County of Amherst and State of Virginia on said 30th day of December 1898, signed and sealed this instrument and published and declared the same as and for her last will and testament, and we at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto written our names as subscribing witnesses.

At a County Court begun and held for the County of Amherst at the Court House thereof, on Monday, the 17th day of February 1902.

The last will and testament of Sarah E. Higginbotham, deceased, bearing date on the 30th day of December 1898, was this day produced in Court and proved by the oaths of Robert F. Giles, Jas. L. Davis and A. M. Sandidge, subscribing witnesses thereto, and is ordered to be recorded.
