Infant Dies

The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hickinbotham of Regina, former residents of Appleton, died at 8:30 Wednesday evening. The body will be brought to Appleton for burial at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Mrs. Hickinbotham formerly was Miss Inez Schmeige of this city.

Funeral Services Held for Brother of Local Woman
Funeral services for Charles Hickenbotham, aged 63, brother of Mrs. Arthur Webb of this city who died at his home in Appleton Thursday, were held yesterday afternoon. At 1:30 rites were conducted from the residence and at 2 o'clock from Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. He had lived lived in Appleton for the past 14 years, and was well known in Sheboygan.
Surviving are his widow, three sons, Edwin, Arnold and Glen, all of Appleton; one daughter, Mrs. Nicholas Reiter of Appleton; three brothers, George and Frank in Nebraska and Walter of Waldo; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Proctor of Waldo and Mrs. Arthur Webb of this city; and ten grandchildren.
Local persons who attended the obsequies were Mrs. Josephine Zimmerman. Mrs. Anna Baessner, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Wilberg, Mr. and Mrs. Alwin Hartman, Mrs. Arthur Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Webb and son, Arthur, and Wallace Proctor.

Mary E. Hickinbotham Webb (1859-1937) WI

Mrs. Mary Webb, nee Mary E. Hickinbotham, died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas hospital after an illness of seven weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Robert H. Kroos Funeral Home. The Rev. W. D. Wells will officiate and burial will be made in Wildwood Cemetery. The body can be viewed from Monday evening until time of service.

Mrs. Webb was born in the town of Holland in 1859. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hickinbotham. On October 9, 1881, she was married to Arthur Webb. Her husband preceded her in death July 10, 1928.

Survivors are two daughters, Miss Grace Webb of Milwaukee and Mrs. Fred Schmidt of Sheboygan; one brother, Walter Hickinbotham and a sister, Mrs. Lucy Proctor, both of Waldo.

Mrs. Webb was a kind and loving mother. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. She was an active member of the Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic and also of the Sons of Union Veterans Auxiliary No. 19.

Lone Rock Youth, Hit-Run Victim Dies in Hospital

Richland Center-Clarence E. Higginbotham, 19, Lone Rock Victim of a hit and run driver died at a Leona, Wis. hospital Tuesday.

Clarence enrolled in a CCC camp at Camp Long Lake near Leona was struck by a hit and run driver last Saturday and received the injuries which caused his death Tuesday. He will be brought back to Lone Rock for the funeral services which will probably be held Friday. The Pratt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Higginbotham, Lone Rock; three brothers, Harold, Richland Center, Lester and Danney, Lone Rock; and three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Cooper, Lone Rock, Lethia and Opal Higginbotham, Lone Rock.

Kathryn Higginbotham Brooker (1891-1945) IN/WI

Word has been received here of the sudden death of Mrs. L. H. Brooker, 53, at Lancaster, Wisconsin. She was the former Katherine Higginbotham well known here. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Higginbotham and was born October 23, 1891. She was a graduate of the Delphi high school. Mrs. Brooker was very active in civic affairs. Woman's club and Pythian Sisters at Lancaster.

Her marriage to Lloyd Brooker occurred on February 1, 1921. Besides the husband she leaves two daughters Dorothy, a senior at National Kintergarten College at Evanston, Wisconsin (sic - Illinois) and Barbara, a Junior at Lancaster high school: two sisters, Mrs. E. E. Richards, Lancaster and Mrs. Bert Mount, Long Meadow, Mass., and a brother, R. F. Higginbotham at Santa Barbara, Calif.

Death which occurred Tuesday, August 28, was attributed to a heart attack.

Funeral services were held at Lancaster at the Haskins Funeral Home at 4 p.m., Thursday, with Rev. T. O’Neill Hoffman officiating and burial at Hill Side cemetery.

Richard Glenn Hickinbotham (1942-1964) WI

Appleton-Richard Glenn Hickinbotham, 21, 320 S. Memorial Dr., died early this morning at his home after a lingering illness of muscular dystrophy.

He was born July 20, 1942, in Appleton.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hickinbotham; four sisters, Mrs. John Sahli, Milwaukee, Deborah, Rachelle, and Julie Lynn, all at home; one grandmother, Mrs. Anton Van Berkel, Appleton.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church with interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home 2 p.m. Wednesday, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.

EVANSVILLE-Mrs. J.B. (Ida) Higginbotham, 83, died Friday in a nursing home in Richland Center. Funeral services were today at Pratt Funeral Home, Richland Center. Burial was in Richland Center Cemetery. Mrs. Higginbotham was a longtime resident of Richland Center. Her husband died 17 years ago. Surviving are three sons and two daughters, including Frank Higginbotham, Evansville.

Robert Leroy Higginbotham (1942-1971) WI/MI

Sgt. Higginbotham Funeral Friday

Dodgeville-The Funeral for Staff Sgt. Robert L. Higginbotham, 29, Warren, Mich., who died there Monday of a heart attack, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Grace Lutheran Church.

He was formerly of Dodgeville and entered the Army in 1960. Staff Sgt. Higginbotham was a paratrooper with the Green Berets and had served twice in Vietnam, and in Thailand, England and Germany.

He was awarded a citation and two bronze stars and was serving as a recruiter for the Green Berets at the time of his death.

Surviving in the Madison area is a sister, Mrs. Edwin Martin, 6517 Oakwood Pl., Middleton.

Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Margaret Higginbotham, Dodgeville; and his grandmother, Mrs. Christina Higginbotham, Lone Rock.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the Lulloff-Peterson Funeral Home. Military graveside rites will be conducted in the Button Cemetery, Lone Rock.

Terry Lee Higginbotham (1948-1972) WI

Terry Higginbotham, Evansville, Dies in Crash

Evansville-Terry Higginbotham, 23, Route 2, Evansville, was killed Tuesday afternoon (June 6, 1972) when his car and a tractor hauling a corn cultivator collided a half mile east of Evansville, the Janesville Sheriff's Dept. reported.

Mr. Higginbotham was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the tractor, driven by Donald E. Nipple, 45, Route 2, Evansville, was traveling west on Highway 14 at about 3 p.m. and made a left turn in front of Mr. Higginbotham's car.

He was born at Monroe in 1948. He was an Eagle Scout, and had received the Catholic "Ad Altare Die" scouting award.

A graduate of Evansville  High School, Mr. Higginbotham was employed at the General Motors Corp. plant, Janesville, and was graduated from Blackhawk Technical School, Janesville.

A veteran of the armed services, stationed in Europe, he married the former Jane Townsend in 1970.

He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church here.

Surviving in Madison is a sister, Deborah Higginbotham.

Also surviving are his wife; a daughter, Dawn, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Higginbotham, and two brothers, Rod and Greg, all of Evansville, and a sister, Mrs. David Truesdill, Janesville.

Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home, Evansville, on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home at 8 Thursday night.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, with the Rev. Joseph Brechtl officiating. Burial will be in Evansville's Maple Hill Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Velma Higgenbotham Olson (1898-1973) IL/WI

Stoughton - Mrs. Paul Olson Sr., 74, a former Madison resident, died Sunday (Aug. 26, 1973) in the Skaalen Sunset Home here after a long illness.

The former Velma Higgenbotham was born near Quincy, Ill., and married Mr. Olson in 1918. He died in 1970. The couple lived in Madison until 1953 when they moved to Stoughton.

She was a member of the Covenant Lutheran Church North, the Women of the Church, and Stoughton Senior Citizens.

Surviving are three sons, Glen, 4306 Hegg Ave., Madison; Paul Jr., Stoughton; and William Stanley, Oregon; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. in the church, with the Rev. LeVern Nielsen officiating. Burial will be in the East Side Lutheran Cemetery here.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Holzhuter Funeral Home.

Appleton-Funeral services were held this morning for Glenn A. Hickinbotham, who died Saturday morning after an illness of two and a half months.

Mr. Hickinbotham, 60, resided at 817 W. Franklin St. Born Dec. 3, 1913, in Arnott, he had lived in Appleton most of his life. He was a retail route salesman for Fairmont Foods for many years until his retirement two years ago.

Survivors include his widow, Agnes; four daughters, Mrs. Monica Scklore of Milwaukee and Deborah, Rachelle and Julie Lynn, all of Appleton; one brother, Arnold, of Appleton, and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Reitzner, also of Appleton.

The Very Right Rev. Msgr. Sylvester P. Van Berkel officiated at the 10 a.m. services this morning at St. Mary Catholic Church.

The Wichmann Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mattie Sue Higginbottom Larry (1931-2000) MS/WI

Racine - Mattie Sue (nee: Higginbottom) Larry, was the second child born to the late Blanche and Newt Higginbottom. She was born in Oxford, Miss. on September 23, 1931 and departed from this life on Thursday, October 19, 2000.

Mattie sue was a member of Greater St. Luke's Baptist Church and remained faithful until her death. She was united in Holy Matrimony on January 12, 1953 to Mose Larry. They were blessed with seven children.

Mattie Sue leaved to mourn, her husband, Mose; her seven children, Lee (Lee) Larry, Thelma Collier, Elaine (Donald) Means, Michael Larry, Carrie Larry, Stella Odeh, and Leonard Larry; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, W.C. (Liz) Higginbottom, Leroy (Margaret) Higginbottom, Beatrice (Qudell) Griffin, Helen (JQ) Ivy, Lucy Jenkins, Connie (Rick) Anderson, Ora Lee Vaughn, Robert (Vera) Higginbottom, Arthur Higginbottom, Eugene (Emma) Higginbottom, Mattie Lynn (Prentiss) Young, and Oscar Higginbottom; two special friends, Bernice Dawkins and Dorothy Scaifes; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Edgar; and her sister, Mary Roby.

Sandra M. Truesdill died July 23, 2002 at home. She was born on July 16, 1940 in Cassville, WI, the daughter of Frank and Irene (Kirschbaum) Higginbotham. She married David G. ''Sparky'' Truesdill on July 21, 1961 in Evansville; he preceded her in death on December 15, 1996. Sandra had worked as a nurse for Mercy Hospital, Evansville Manor, Cedar Crest, Janesville Medical Center, Rock County Health Care Center, and retired from the Red Cross. Following retirement she was a driving instructor for Rock Valley Drivers School and had also worked for the Rock County Senior Services. She was a member of St. William Catholic Church, Women of the Moose, and the VFW Auxiliary. Sandra is survived by her 2 children, Cynthia Truesdill and Lori (Lonny) Stewart both of Janesville; a grandson, Alexander; parents, Frank and Irene Higginbotham of Evansville; 2 sisters, Deb (Mike) Lewis of Cambridge and Deb (Mark) Mayne of Davenport, IA; a brother, Greg Higginbotham of Orfordville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. JANESVILLE— Kay F. Higginbotham-Brown, 61, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at UW Madison Hospital. She was born on Sept. 14, 1944, in Cudahy, WI, to Charles and Alvina Maly. She married the late Cecil Higginbotham on Feb. 18, 1961, and then married Leroy Brown in March of 1982. Kay was very caring, always doing things for others; she loved to cook, bake, fish, deer hunt and camp. She was employed at Norwood Mills and Data Shop in Milton and Janesville. Kay is survived by her father, Charles (Naomi) Maly. She will be missed by her 3 children: Eugene Higginbotham of Silver Lake, Kandy (Jim) Heaton of Hanover, WI, and Heidi (Bob) Begolke of Janesville. She will also be greatly missed by her 6 grandchildren: Heather (Don) Higginbotham, Kassandra, Krystal and Kelsey Heaton, and Rebekkah and Natalie Begolke; her 2 great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Xayvion; 6 sisters: Carol (Art) Chitwood of Muscoda, WI, Peggy (Ron) Mellem of Richland Center, WI, Susan (Jack) Wilson of Cazenovia, WI, Mary (Jeff) Pulvamacher of Richland Center, WI, Pam (Pat) Bowlin of Lone Rock, WI, and Bunny Drone of Richland Center, WI; and a brother, Stewart (Nancy) Maly of Richland Center, WI. Ruby J. Halverson Higginbotham (1920-2008) WI

Ruby (Halverson) Higgenbotham was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 19, 2008. She was born June 7, 1920 to Robert & Johanna (Olson) Halverson in Purdy, Wisconsin. Ruby loved to bake & cook, and no one ever left her house hungry. She was a very kind and loving person. She loved her church so much it really hurt her when she had to stop attending. Ruby was united in marriage to Harold Higgenbotham on October 16, 1936 in Richland Center and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1997. Ruby is now home and at peace with her husband & God. Together they farmed in Ithaca for a time then made there life in Richland Center where they were very happy for many years. Together they had one son Harold Jr.
Survivors include her son Harold Jr. Higgenbotham; Grandson, Glen and also two great grandsons Eric & Aaron and a great great granddaughter. Also a very special brother Raymond who has given her the best care anyone could give to another. He took her to live with him and made her last day’s very happy ones. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Hazel, many nieces, nephews, and her little 4 legged friend Tiny.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Nora Hastings, Gladys Barrette, Elaine Beebe, and Emma Davis; brothers Lloyd, Lester, Virgil, and Clarence “Paulie” and a sister-in-law Babe.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Noon at the Pratt Memorial Chapel in Richland Center. Burial will be held in the Richland Center Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at Noon. Pratt Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
Blessed be her Memory God’s finger touched her and she slipped away, from earth’s dark shadows to a brighter day. God saw the road was getting rough. The hills were hard to climb. He gently closed her weary eyes, and whispered please be thine to a beautiful garden this friend has gone, to a land of perfect rest. Though she is gone she still lives on in the garden of memory.

Age 73 – died on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital in Wild Rose, WI. She was born on November 13, 1935 in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Earl and Vera (Krentz) Cartwright. She married Ivan Higginbotham, Sr. on April 26, 1974 in Wautoma, WI. Donna is survived by her husband, Ivan, children; Leonard (Patti) Langkau of Poy Sippi, Jane (Ken) Miner of Waupaca, and Jean (Jeff) Schraven of Taylors, S.C., step children; Paul R. (Sandra) Higginbotham of Marietta, GA, Chrystal Higginbotham of Stevens Point, Michael (Donna) Higginbotham of Slinger, and Jack (Kelly) Higginbotham of Ashley, OH, grandchildren; John Langkau and Special Friend: Megan Higgins, Stephen (Jackie) Miner, Aaron (Fiancé: Samantha) Miner, Travis Miner, Sarah Miner, Christopher Langkau, Bradley Langkau, and Justin Langkau, and great grandchildren; Devon Miner and Brianne Langkau. She is also survived by many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, brothers; Robert (Rose) Cartwright and Richard (Virginia) Cartwright, both of Pine River and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her son, Ralph Langkau, her parents, her sister, Beverly Kolka, and three step sons; Brian Higginbotham, Garnett Higginbotham, and Ivan Higginbotham, Jr. Donna had been a homemaker. Through the years she had also worked at the Miles Kimball Company in Oshkosh, as a cook and waitress at the former Orihula Resort in Fremont, and as an Avon representative for over 35 years. She enjoyed making items that she would sell at craft fairs. She also enjoyed sewing, and had sewn the outfits that she and Ivan wore when they were Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus during the Christmas season. Donna also loved Hummingbirds. A memorial service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Poy Sippi, WI on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 1 p.m., with the Reverend David Sielaff, officiating. Interment will be in the Brushville Cemetery, Township of Bloomfield, Waushara County, WI. A visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Poy Sippi on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Holly Funeral Home of Poy Sippi, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.

Irene Sara Kirschbaum Higginbotham (1918-2009) WI

Irene Sara Higginbotham, 91, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on Aug. 27, 1918, in Cassville, WI, daughter of Max and Mary (Gurney) Kirschbaum. Irene married Frank Higginbotham in 1948 in Dubuque, IA, and he preceded her in death in 2004. She served on the election board in Evansville for many years, was a girl scout and boy scout leader, enjoyed ceramics, camping, traveling, fishing, and loved to do volunteer work. She was a member of St Paul's Catholic Church in Evansville and was very active in the church. She worked for many years as the librarian at the Eager Free Public Library in Evansville and was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Evansville. Irene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Mike) Lewis of Maryville, TN; son, Gregory Higginbotham of Evansville; five grandchildren: Cindy Truesdill, Lori (Lonny) Stewart, Dawn Stewart, Amy (Will) Carlson, and Heather (Todd Hogan) Higginbotham; three great-grandchildren: Alex Brockman, Joshua Carlson and Braelynn Hogan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank in 2004; two sons, Terry in 1972 and Rod in 1993; a daughter, Sandra Truesdill in 2002; and a sister, Lillian.

Ivan L. Higginbotham Sr. (1932 - 2011)

Ivan L. Higginbotham, Sr. Age 79, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital in Wild Rose, WI. He was born June 23, 1932 in South Gifford, MO; son of Garnett and Esther (Lagle) Higginbotham. On April 26, 1974, Ivan married Donna J. Cartwright in Wautoma, WI. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2009. Ivan was well-known around Christmas time for dressing up as Santa Claus, where he visited a number of residential homes in the Wild Rose area. He also drove school bus in Wild Rose and was a driver for many years with the Department of Aging throughout Waushara County and the state. He will be deeply missed by all of his loving family and friends. Ivan is survived by: Children: Paul (Sandra) Higginbotham of Marietta, GA, Chrystal Higginbotham of Stevens Point, WI, Michael (Donna) Higginbotham of Slinger, WI, Jack (Kelley) Higginbotham of Ashley, OH, Kathy (Steve) McKay of Embarrass, WI, Randy Winter of Wisconsin; Step-Children: Leonard (Patti) Langkau of Poy Sippi, WI, Jane (Ken) Miner of Waupaca, WI, Jean (Jeff) Schraven of Taylors, SC. Richard Higginbotham (1921-2012) WI

(February 16, 1921 - July 28, 2012)

Richard Higginbotham, 91, of Viroqua/Soldiers Grove entered his Heavenly home on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Sannes Skogdalen in Soldiers Grove. He was born February 16, 1921 in Barnum, WI the 7th child of Jay and Ida (Brown) Higginbotham. Richard married Edith Wilma Fowell in Piggott, AR on October 16, 1939. Together the couple had 9 children. Though they divorced in 1975 they would eventually enjoy each other’s company again at family get togethers in Edith's home, family reunions, and also during visits at the nursing home where Richard lived for the last 4 1/2 years. Richard was a farmer in the Richland Center and Kendall areas followed by 10 years at Mathews Lumber in Muscoda where he retired at the age of 76. Richard enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, feeding the birds and gardening. Even at the age of 86, he kept a large weed free garden and would can and freeze much of the produce. He especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends and reminiscing about “the good ole days ". His smile as you arrived and words as you parted made you know he was so glad you had come. At the age of 90, and knowing his life was nearing the end, Richard received Christ as his personal Savior, and found hope, peace, and comfort in knowing that he had a home in heaven. Even though it was difficult to speak, he later would request that a Bible be placed on his casket. Richard is survived by His former wife; Edith Wilma Fowell Higginbotham Thayer and 7 of their children, Francis (Shane) Higginbotham of Roanoke, IN, Jeanette (Duane) Woolever of Deerfield, Donald (Phyliss) Higginbotham of Janesville, Paul (Debbie) Higginbotham of Janesville, Richard D. (Kathie) Higginbotham of New Lisbon, Connie Frutiger of Milton, Karen Joy (Tim) Frutiger of Stoughton, sister, Helen Wanless of Oregon, WI, 21 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, many other relatives, and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, two children Janice and Cecil, daughter-in-law, Kay Higginbotham Brown, son-in-law Michael Frutiger, grandson, Chad Frutiger, brothers Aubrey(wife Violet), Harold, Edward, Frank(wife Irene), sister Elsie (husband George)Fry, and brother-in-law Lyle Wanless. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel in Richland Center. Burial will follow in the Mount Tabor Cemetery. Richard D. Higginbotham (1946-2015) WI

Richard "Dick" D. Higginbotham, age 69, of New Lisbon, died February 11, 2015, at home. He was born in Richland Center on January 29, 1946, the son of Richard and Edith Wilma "Willy" (Fowell) Higginbotham. Dick graduated from Royal High School in Elroy in 1964. He married his wife in 1974 and they have been residents of New Lisbon most of the past 25-30 years. Dick was a pin welder for Leer Manufacturing in New Lisbon. He was an avid bowler, deer hunter, golfer and had been a life member of Camp Douglas VFW Post 10911. He is survived by his wife; 6 siblings; 3 sisters-in-law; his loving dog, April; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law; step-father, John Thayer; brother, Cecil Higginbotham; infant sister, Janice; sister-in-law, Marian Schindler; and great nephew, Trevor LaBak. Nola Jean Winter Higginbotham, age 83 passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Shawano WI. Jean was born November 4th 1931 in the Town of Bloomfield to William and Rose Winter (Radtke) She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church of West Bloomfield. Jean enjoyed her friends and family, and feeding the birds in her front yard along with gardening. She is survived by a son Randall Winter, Kimberly; and a daughter Kathleen (Steven) McKay, Cloverleaf Lakes; a brother, David Winter, Fremont; a granddaughter, Jamie McKay, Cloverleaf Lakes; a grandson Jesse McKay, Cloverleaf Lakes; and grandson, Joshua Fredrickson, Granton; two foster sisters; Gloria Teigland and Viola Dahms, both of Oshkosh; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Daniel E. Higginbotham, age 90, of Wausau died Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Cedar Ridge Elder Services. Daniel was born on September 30, 1926 in Boaz, WI to the late Everett L. and Christina M. (Hanson) Higginbotham. He was united in marriage to Jeanette V. Meyer in 1959. She survives and resides in Wausau. Daniel was a commercial fisherman on the Mississippi River. He was an avid flea marketer. He and Jeanette enjoyed winters in Florida and flea marketing their way down and back. Daniel served in the US Army in World War II and the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Warren Lodge 4 of Potosi, WI; the VFW and DAV. Survivors in addition to his wife include son Daniel (Margaret) Higginbotham of Wausau and 2 grandsons, Jacob Higginbotham of Janesville, WI and Nathaniel Higginbotham of Richmond, VA. Daniel was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters. Jeanette V. Higginbotham, age 92, of Wausau died Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. Jeanette was born on March 29, 1925, WI to the late Joseph and Elsie (Radloff) Meyer. She was united in marriage to Daniel E Higginbotham in 1959, who preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2017 . Jeanette helped Dan throughout their lives together. Daniel was a commercial fisherman on the Mississippi River and they both were avid flea marketers. Jeanette was an avid Bingo player. Dan and Jeanette enjoyed winters in Florida and flea marketing their way down and back. Jeanette was a member of the Eastern Star, Warren Lodge 4 of Potosi, WI. Jeanette Louise Higginbotham Woolever (1944-2018) WI

Jeanette L. Woolever, age 73, of Deerfield passed away on September 29, 2018 surrounded by her family. Jeanette was born on October 29, 1944 in Richland County Wisconsin to Richard and Wilma (Fowell)  Higginbotham. She graduated from Royal High School, Elroy, WI in 1962.  On March 16, 1963 Jeanette married Duane Woolever and together they raised one son and four daughters in Deerfield.  Jeanette is a member of Willerup United Methodist Church, Cambridge.  She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, genealogy, her many roles at church, and spending time with her family.  She is survived by her husband, Duane; children Jeni Woolever, Madison, Mark (Lori) Woolever, Deerfield, Janice (Alan) Lund, Cambridge, Rhonda Woolever, Madison, Dawn (Dan) Martin, Deerfield; 8 grandchildren, Mitchell (Alyssa) and Brooke Woolever, Katie and Aaron Lund, Megan, Makayla, Macy and Maddy Martin; siblings Francis (Shane) Higginbotham, Huntington, IN, Donald (Carol) Higginbotham, Janesville, Connie Frutiger, Milton, Paul (Debbie) Higginbotham, Janesville, Joy (Tim) Frutiger, Stoughton.  She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Janice and brothers, Cecil and Richard. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00am at Willerup United Methodist Church, 414 W. Miriam Ruth Higginbotham Halstead Mondini (1940-2020) CA/WI

Oshkosh - Miriam Ruth Mondini (Higginbotham), precious wife of Edward Mondini, his soulmate and sunshine of 22 years, passed away peacefully on September 10, in the year of our Lord 2020, with Edward by her side. Miriam was born June 3, 1940 in Los Angeles, CA. She married Edward in 1998 and they moved to Wisconsin in 1999, settling in Oshkosh. Miriam touched the hearts of everyone she met and she made many friends. She will be greatly missed. Besides her husband, Edward, Miriam is survived by her closest cousin: Jeanne Gore; three children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Miriam is preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Ruth Higginbotham. Edward would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Thedacare-At-Home nurses and physical therapists, Thedacare-At-Home Hospice, the Neurology Group, Thedacare hospital, Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh and the caregivers at Valley VNA for their exceptional care and compassion.

Brian Higginbotham (1972-2021) WI
Brian Higginbotham died on Sunday, December 26, 2021 after losing a lengthy battle with alcoholism at the age of 49.

He is survived by his children, Hunter (Germantown), Taylor Griffith (David) of Indianapolis, Jotham, Anthony, Michael and Rose all of Fredonia, and the love of his life, Kim Higginbotham (Germantown).

He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Steve and Kate Higginbotham, brothers Tim (Becky), Matt (Amy), Alex, Zach and “brother #5” Tucker Emerson and family all residing in Door County. As well as his amazing grandmother Lois Hall.

He will be fondly remembered by his large, loving family of aunts and uncles including, Kevin and Lana Hall, Melissa and Ron Schmitz (Virginia) Mimi Hall, Jim and Amy Hall (Iowa), Megan Sarkis and Dave and Robin Higginbotham (Georgia) along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Brian deeply loved and was so proud of his children. They brought so much joy to his life. He especially loved his Door County family and friends. Brian was a sweet soul, an exceptionally kind human who gladly gave freely of his time to friends and strangers alike. He will be so missed.

A private celebration of Brian’s life will be held at a later date.
