Mr. and Mrs. Bruce B. Higginbotham of Virginia Beach have announced the engagement of their daughter, Dru Anne Higginbotham, to Keith Eric Filter of Norfolk. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Maynard D. Filter of Harrisonburg. Higginbotham graduated from Radford University with a bachelor's degree and from Old Dominion University with a master's degree, both degrees in speech/language pathology. She is a speech pathologist at Beverly Manor of Portsmouth. Filter graduated from Radford University with a bachelor's degree in history. He is a manager at Old Dominion Peanut Corp. in Norfolk. The wedding will be held in April 1997 at St. Luke's of Norfolk.
